SevenHills Fabrication has become the sole manufacturer of a brand new working at height platform, which aims to revolutionise the industry.
Scotland-based Airdecks Limited provides a brand new, unique elevated platform system, which removes the massive cost, safety and storage problems associated with traditional scaffolding systems.
The company has chosen SevenHills Fabrication as its primary manufacturer, after a search of more than 70 fabricators failed to identify one with the innovative skills, flexibility and quality guarantees offered by SevenHills.
Craig Smith, Managing Director at Airdecks Ltd, said: “Airdecks is experiencing a phenomenal level of growth due to the cost savings, safety features and reduced storage required for the system and so we needed a supplier that could deliver against a rapidly growing market requirement.
“Because our system is a crucial safety platform, we also needed the quality that SevenHills Fabrication, with its famous Made in Sheffield brand.
“We are in a transitory phase and the level of interest in the Airdecks system has been phenomenal. With the help we have had in refining the manufacturing and the excellent delivery that James and the team at SevenHills have provided, has secured them as our primary manufacturer and a key strategy in our business plan.”
Airdecks is an elevated system which is 92% erected from the ground and is fixed directly to the building or framework, removing any need for poles to the ground, which can cause major problems in terms of safety and security through traditional scaffolding operations.
Because it is much smaller than traditional scaffolding systems, it can be transported in a car or small van depending on the size of job being undertaken and takes up approximately less than ten per cent of the space required to store pole-based scaffolding. The Airdecks system is fully certificated to the safe working load but easily takes considerably more weight than this.
Craig added: “Our system has many advantages, but none of the disadvantages of traditional scaffolding. It is much cheaper, safer because there are no bolts to work loose and it is fully modular so it can be used on any scale of project.
“Because of Airdecks’ component nature, we needed the manufacture to be very sophisticated. Our partnership with SevenHills ensures that customers receive a premium product, on time and with instant cost savings.”
