We felt it socially responsible to keep you updated as to the current, enhanced precautionary
steps we are now taking towards our working patterns. We currently remain open, however we only have small working groups across the company, to ensure continuity of the business and the services we offer our customers and to protect the health of our colleagues and the wider community.
SevenHills Fabrication – 6 of us remain within a large open plan office, with over 10 meters (60 feet) of space between each of us. The rest of our office staff are remaining working from home.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business our production staff are unable to work from home, however they have now been isolated from each other and segregated into three working groups. One group of 4 working in a factory with over 5,000 square foot of space. 2 further groups are working across our 18,000 square foot factory, 1 group working a 4 day shift and the other then the next 4 days, making us open over the full 7 days every week. Within the 18,000 square foot we have further segregation, with the laser department, ‘prep’ and welding completely separated with no more than 4 people working together with over 10 metres (60 feet) of individual working space.
PCT Automotive – 4 of us remain in a large open plan office, with over 10 metres of space
each. The remaining office staff are continuing to work from home. Within the 20,000 square feet of warehousing we have 2 teams of 4 people working on a 4 day on, 4 day off pattern.
Our Towbar designer remains working in his own completely isolated test house.
Everyone remains in touch with each other through the Microsoft Teams system, having full access to all necessary programmes to allow them to continue with their jobs, from costing and quoting through to accepting and processing orders.
All groups have their own separate toilet and canteen facilities. Our colleagues have also
agreed to an absolute no social contact policy across the working groups, to further mitigate any chance of the virus effecting anyone.
We will continue to work, responsibly, for our customers and our colleagues. Hygiene practices remain a top priority with thorough cleaning, hand washing and new enhanced facilities across the group.
